Pour a cup of coarse coffee grounds into a large jar or container with a lid. Add four cups of filtered water and give it a good stir to ensure all the coffee grounds are fully saturated. Cover the container and place it in the fridge for 12 hours. Strain the coffee using a strainer and a cheesecloth into a pitcher.
